Transportation From Taoyuan International Airport to Academia Sinica

 

From Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to Taipei Main Station

 

There are several bus routes operating between Taoyuan International Airport and the city center of Taipei or Taipei Railway Station. 

 

Airport Buses

 

a. Where to buy bus tickets: Taoyuan Bus Corporation. (Fare paid on the bus)

b. Other buses: Ticket counters are located in the Arrival Passenger reception areas of both terminals, T1 & T2.

c. Terminal 1 Bus Platform: On the southwest side of the arrival passenger reception area (the 1st floor).

d. Reception Area. Terminal 2 Bus Platform: On the northeast side of the arrival passenger reception (the 1st floor).

e. One-way fare varies from NT$110 to NT$140 per adult.

 

Airport Taxi

 

50% surcharge is allowed over the fare shown on the taxi meter for journeys from Taiwan Taoyuan Airport. The average fare (plus surcharge) to Taipei is about NT$1,500.

 

 

From Taipei Main Station to Nangang Station MRT (捷運南港站)

 

The public transport service of MRT (Mass Rapid Transit, 台北捷運) is available on the inside of the Taipei Main Station.
Hop on the Pannan/Blue Line (板南/藍線) at Taipei Main Station and get off at Nangang Station. (NT$30)

Buses from Nangang Station (南港站) to Academia Sinica

 

A single section fare is NT$15. Pay upon boarding or getting off according to the instructions. Take bus routes 212, 270 or Blue25 and get off from the stop "Academia Sinica" (中央研究院站). The ride will take about 10 minutes.

 

 

 

Transportation From Taipei Songshan Airport to Academia Sinica

 

The public transport service of MRT (Mass Rapid Transit, 台北捷運) is available from Songshan Airport Station (松山機場) to Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Station (南港展覽館站).

 

Hop on the Neihu/Brown Line (內湖/棕線) at Songshan Airport Station and get off at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Station. (NT$35)

Buses from Buses from Taipei Nangang Exhibition Station (南港展覽館站) to Academia Sinica

 

A single section fare is NT$15. Pay upon boarding or getting off according to the instructions. Take bus routes 306, 205, 620, 645, or 276 and get off from the stop "Academia Sinica" (中央研究院站). The ride will take about 10 minutes.

 

 

 

After arriving Academia Sinica, please walk to the IMB building for registration.
